As Chief Operating Officer, Tom Roy oversees company operations, drives strategic growth initiatives, and works closely with clients and project teams to ensure operational excellence across all aspects of AmeriTech’s business.

Tom has more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, with extensive expertise in healthcare, life sciences, commercial, and institutional construction throughout New England.

During high school and college summer breaks, Tom worked for his father’s steel fabrication and erection business before transitioning into law enforcement.  While working as a police officer, he also held a part-time job at Kelly Construction, where he realized his passion for construction.  He transitioned into the industry full-time and went on to pursue a degree in Construction Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Starting as a laborer, Tom advanced through progressively senior operational and leadership positions including superintendent, project manager, project executive, and business owner. In 1990 he acquired Kelly Construction and successfully expanded the organization, earning recognition from Forbes Magazine in 1992 as one of the nation’s fastest growing firms.

Following many successful years leading the company, Tom closed Kelly Construction.  He later accepted a position as a Regional Director of StructureTone where he was responsible for all aspects of construction projects throughout New England.  Following that role, Tom became Senior Vice President of Loureiro Engineering Associates, where he managed operations for the vertical construction division serving mostly as a design/build entity in all New England states.

Throughout his career, he has overseen large-scale occupied healthcare renovations, medical facilities, laboratory environments, and commercial developments while building long-standing relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and industry partners.

Tom’s expertise includes operations management, strategic planning, preconstruction, construction management, healthcare compliance, and team leadership. He is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, strong client relationships, and commitment to quality, safety, and delivering successful projects.

Outside of work, Tom is a workout enthusiast and avid power walker, often walking more than 20 miles on Saturdays.  He also loves the ocean and traveling with his wife to anywhere near the water in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
